If you’re looking to work in the yachting industry then this course will give the best introduction to the sailing world.
Yachtmaster Offshore Commercially endorsed qualification; this qualification is highly regarded and will facilitate you to start a career in yachting.
Pre-Course Experience
The only requirement you need is to be over 18 years old, have a current Medical certificate and have a desire to learn more about sailing.
Even if you have never stepped aboard a yacht in your life, by the end of the sail training program, you will be ready to take your RYA Yachtmaster certificates.
Course, that includes a guaranteed 2,600 nautical miles.
What are the requirements for an RYA Yachtmaster certificate?
• 2500 miles logged on a yacht while cruising at sea. Mileage cruises or passages and not day trips. At least 2000 miles tidal coastal voyages.
• 50 days on board a yacht at sea as an active member of the crew.
• 5 passages over 60 miles measured from the rhumb line from the departure to the destination acting as skipper for at least two of the passages including two which have involved overnight passages.
• 35 hours of being an active member on a night watch keeper and skipper for 10 hours at night.
• Valid first aid certificate, DSC, VHF, radio operator’s license, Sea survival, diesel course.
